Open Solver
Press MATH, select B:Solver… (the letter position can vary), and press ENTER.

Enter both sides
In MathPrint enter E1 and E2, then choose OK.

Seed and solve
Place the cursor on x, enter a nearby estimate, then press ALPHA → ENTER (SOLVE). Check E1−E2 is near 0.

Worked example

Solve e^x = 3x near x=1.5.

Answerx ≈ 1.51213 (the solution near 1.5).
