Resetting All Memory permanently removes programs and apps. Press-to-Test temporarily disables restricted material but clears calculator variables. Ask your teacher which method is required.
Official Press-to-Test sequence
- 1Turn the calculator off
Press 2nd → ON (OFF).
- 2Hold three keys
With the calculator off, hold left arrow and right arrow, then press ON. Release when RESET OPTIONS appears.
- 3Use assigned settings
Defaults normally show Degree, Stat Diagnostics On, and restrictions for logBASE and Σ. Follow the examiner’s instructions rather than guessing.
- 4Activate
Press ZOOM for the on-screen OK command. RESET COMPLETE appears; press any key to continue.
- 5Verify
Open APPS and PRGM to confirm restricted content is disabled.
After the exam
Exit test mode by transferring a file from another compatible TI‑84 series calculator or by using TI Connect CE’s “Quit Exam Mode on Connected CE Calculators” action. This requires another device or computer connection; switching off is not enough.
